It was a rainy Thursday afternoon, when my buddy Leon gave me a call to get all my stuff together for a hike up the hills of Bad Fischau, Austria. My learning curve that day seemed to decrease monotonically anyways, so I asked another friend of mine, Lukas, whose birthday was that day, if he wanted to join us. The weather got more or less stable and we chose the top of Engelsberg at an altitude of about 500 metres as our target for this trip.
On the way up, Leon found a "helpless" inchworm, which he sat on his shoulder to give a ride to the peak of the mountain.
For me, hiking has two opposing, but equally pleasant effects: On the one hand it increases my heartbeat, and on the other hand, it calms me down and let‘s me forget about all my worries and doubts. It means to have only one simple goal. Even if it’s just a hot shower afterwards..
Enjoy the journey!
